| About Us; Sunflower Savannah was started by myself Sam Wiseman. Originally it began because I was looking for a way to make money that would allow me to be home to accommodate my husband Bill's work schedule. First w/Cut Flowers grown for my friend Cheri who ran a flower Shop in Pevely Mo. We then branched out from there by including my passion for gardening and being outside. We had Christmas trees already on the property and soon included sheep to keep our pastures under control. With a little help from our friend Rod, we have built a greenhouse and now grow our own plants and starts for the garden. Sunflower Savannah uses the grassroots program Certified Naturally Grown as a standard for crops. The same guidelines, that are protocol created by the Dept of Agriculture for Certified Organic, are followed by participants of Certified Naturally Grown However this program is a farmer cooperative. The farmers barter their time in exchange in order to keep costs down. While most of products are sold wholesale, we sell retail at the following Markets; Tower Grove Farmers Market and Bazaar (which made the A List in Stl Magazine), Maplewood Farmers Market voted # 1 St. Louis Market in 2007 season) Where are we?
